Scenic Texas, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of our state's visual environment, particularly as seen by the traveling public.

Texas experienced unprecedented economic growth during the automobile era and has developed a vast interstate and highway network as a result. However, not enough attention has been paid to the view from our roadways and our national image is suffering as a consequence. The perceived quality of life in much of Texas is considered substandard. Scenic Texas is committed to restoring a positive image and preserving the legendary vistas that have made the Lone Star State famous.

We believe that growth is inevitable but ugliness is not.
